Anita Schroeder

Anita Schroeder is a Certified Legal Assistant with a Specialty Designation in Civil Litigation from the National Association of Legal Assistants. Anita is a graduate of the Paralegal Program at Casper College and has been a Paralegal since 1990. During her career Anita is proud to say that she has worked for some of the best attorneys in the Region, beginning her career at Williams, Porter, Day and Neville where she worked with defense attorneys representing such clients as Casper College, Natrona County School District and True Industries. From there she moved to Chapman, Valdez where she learned that her true passion is representing people who have been injured due to no fault of their own. After a brief stint at Beatty, Wozniak and Reese doing oil and gas work she moved back into Plaintiff’s work and personal injury at the Spence Law Firm.
She is a past member of the ABA Advisory Board at Casper College and a past member of the CLE Committee of The Wyoming State Bar Association. Anita has been active in Legal Assistants of Wyoming since its founding and has served on the Board of Directors in various capacities including President. She is also member of the Paralegal Section of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association and has been active in the support, education and advancement of paralegals in Wyoming for over 26 years.

Anita is very pleased to be joining Grant Lawson in the launching of his new firm, Lawson Law, LLC and is excited to be part of the team bringing high quality legal services to the public. Anita will always be available to take your calls answer your questions and assure that your case is handled in the best possible way.


Anita was raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota and has lived in Wyoming her entire adult life, she loves the Wyoming outdoors and the independent lifestyle enjoyed here.  Anita and her husband David just celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary, they have four grown children, their spouses and four grandchildren.  Anita loves spending time with her family and large extended family especially if that time together involves camping trips.  Anita enjoys getting out in the clean mountain air, working in her vegetable and flower gardens, walking the dogs,  riding her bicycle, hiking, and golfing.  She loves to travel either in the motor home, by air or by cruise ship, she tells her friends and family that there’s no place in the world she doesn’t want to visit at least once.
Anita knows what it’s like for families in Wyoming to have struggles and suffer loss, to have their hopes and dreams shattered.  But she also knows the rewards that hard work brings.  She is a caring compassionate advocate for the clients the firm represents and will always be there fully engaged in the client’s case offering encouragement, strength, advice, ideas for solutions and hopes for the future.
